Your adventure begins with a Spudnut at Richland’s oldest coffee shop established in 1948 … then onto touring the Atomic City with the Alphabet Houses & People … a community built with a singular commitment to ending World War II … each housing design was assigned an alphabet letter … each home had a personal story …

Our next stop is to join the Manhattan Project National Historical Park B Reactor tour.  Built by the Army Corps of Engineers and the DuPont Corporation, B Reactor is a National Historic Landmark and joins Mount Rushmore & the White House as one of America's most important historic sites … the B Reactor was the world's first plutonium production reactor … the top secret Manhattan Project produced the plutonium used in the world's first nuclear detonation in July 1945 … and the bomb dropped August, 1945 was instrumental in ending WW II ...

The B Reactor is a part of the new Manhattan Project  National Historical Park combining three USA locations (Hanford-Washington State, Los Alamos-New Mexico & Oak Ridge-Tennessee) into one National Park …
